Once you join this Role Play, that means you have passed the literacy test and you should be RPing literately. But if you are having trouble with some aspects, this is where you need to go.
First off, let's talk about god-modding. That is like, sin. If you are, let's say, a griffin, and you grab a cub in your talons like so: The great golden griffon swooped down and clasped the defenseless cub in his sharp talons.
Sorry to say, but that's god-modding. You have to say, try, or attempt, or some other version of that so that even the 'defenseless cub' could possibly escape even though the odds aren't in its favor. So that's another thing, you can't dodge something when it truly isn't even possible…You can't dodge an earthquake by jumping. That just isn't right.
Next, adding onto that, how about we talk about Role Play fighting. There is usually this rule that you can only dodge twice, but like stated above I think you should also think realistically and dodge when necessary. Be reasonable, and don't dodge every time. And when you fight, always say attempt. Plus, you should all know this, that you can't kill someone in one shot, even with powers. No one hit KO's please~
Last, if you are having trouble with RPing literately and making one paragraph or two paragraph posts, try seeing things through your character's eyes so you can describe everything they see. Use your grammar, use your vocabulary, and use your head.
One last little thing, when you post, you don't need to use these little dashes: -She walked across the cool green grass.- Nuh uh. We know when you are RPing. And if you are talking in OOC, these should do nicely, because you better have em': lol)), ((haha, (rofl!), no way!), (greaatttt
Don't get lazy and drop the brackets unless you want to get in trouble.
That about wraps everything up for any of the newly literates or just RP confused people. And remember, attempt is the key!
